I was part of the team that redesigned and developed the new Consensys company website. Our goal was to refresh the visual identity and present content in a more engaging way through dynamic animations and interactions, while integrating with the existing CMS setup to preserve and leverage established content.
As the main developer, I was responsible for building the new site interface, adapting the CMS schema to support the redesigned UI, and implementing and fine-tuning animations, transitions, and interactions. The tech stack included SvelteKit, Contentful, GSAP, and Lenis, with 3D elements created by another developer using Spline.
The main challenges of this project included building the new site on top of the existing infrastructure iteratively, and striking the right balance between visual impact and performance: thus creating a compelling experience while keeping the site lean and responsive, while also keeping a focus on SEO and accessibility aspects.
